## How we compare

We take every fact about another product from its own website, help pages, pricing page, or official filings. Each comparison lists those pages and the day we checked them. Prices and features change, so check the other site before you decide. Our [editorial policy](https://tactfolio.com/about/editorial-policy.md) explains how we write and check pages.

We say plainly where another tool is the better fit. Tactfolio runs long-only strategies. Stock and ETF strategies use daily prices and trade through Alpaca. Crypto strategies on Hyperliquid perps can be backtested on hourly or daily bars, but they don't trade real money yet. If you need options, forex, short selling, or minute-by-minute trading, another tool on this page will suit you better.

Comparing funds instead of tools? Our [ETF comparisons](https://tactfolio.com/etf-comparisons.md) put pairs like [VOO vs VTI](https://tactfolio.com/etf-comparisons/voo-vs-vti.md) side by side, and our [Learn guides](https://tactfolio.com/learn.md) explain the basics in plain English.
